Keyword: CommunicationAbstract: This study examined the influence of personality and fictitious expectancies on impressions of candidates during a virtual mock interview. The 122 participants from three USA universities were paired to create 61 dyads. Interviewers were given false information about interviewee's friendliness, and the self-fulfilling prophecy was confirmed even in technologically-mediated interactions.
