Internal Locus of Control Impacts the Relationship between Early Trauma and Emotion Regulation

Abstract: We sought to examine whether locus of control mediates the relationship between early trauma and emotion regulation. There were 346 participants (M_age = 20.21). The results suggest that internal locus of control partially limits the development of difficulties with emotion regulation in college students who have experienced early trauma.
