Keyword: MemoryAbstract: This study investigates individual and developmental differences in how aversive (negative) and appetitive (positive) associations are acquired and extinguished. Participants ages 10-25 complete a Pavlovian reinforcement learning task. We anticipate that adolescents will maintain more persistent associations and show increased renewal of conditioned responses after initial extinction.
