Keyword: Substance Abuse and AddictionAbstract: This study examined how drinking refusal self-efficacy (DRSE) moderates the association between peer drinking norms and individual drinking. Results indicated that DRSE is a stronger moderator for drinking buddy (DB) norms than for general peer drinker norms on drinking frequency, highlighting the importance of enhancing DRSE in DB contexts.
