Self-Deception, Impression Management, and Gullibility As Predictors of Religiosity

Keyword: ReligionAbstract: Across two studies, we examined the degree to which self-deception, impression-management, and gullibility predict religiosity. In study 1, we found individuals who were less self-deceptive and scored higher in impression-management were more religious. In study 2, using an additional religiosity measure, we did not replicate those findings.
