Living with the Enemy: A Causal Inference Analysis of Military Sexual Trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptomology

Abstract: We used causal inference analysis to investigate the relationship between military sexual trauma (MST) history and DSM-5 PTSD symptom clusters in 290 servicemembers with PTSD (224 Males, M_age = 43.66). MST exposure was associated with increased global PTSD and three specific symptoms, revealing distinctive clinical characteristics of MST exposure.
