New Editor-in-Chief at Clinical Psychological Science

APS is pleased to announce that Nicholas R. Eaton, PhD, Stony Brook University, has been appointed as the next Editor-in-Chief for Clinical Psychological Science (CPS). Dr. Eaton received his PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2012 and currently serves as Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Stony Brook. He was recently elected as the next president of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science, with the first year of his term beginning on January 1, 2026.

As the CPS Editor-in-Chief, he intends to enhance representation and inclusion, promote open science and transparency, and ensure the journal remains highly relevant, necessary, and central to mental health-related discourse, research, and practice.

Eaton’s official term as Editor-in-Chief begins January 1, 2026. A profile further detailing Eaton’s vision for the journal will appear in an upcoming issue of the Observer.
