Welcome to the APSSC

Jessica T Wong

Dear Students,

Welcome to the website of the Association for Psychological Science (APS) Student Caucus. Our group represents the student members of APS, the primary international organization advocating the growth and dissemination of scientific psychology. We provide a variety of programs and resources designed to assist you. Whether you are an undergraduate student majoring or minoring in psychology, or a graduate student working on your masters or doctorate in the field, we are here to serve your particular stage of professional development.

Throughout the year, the APSSC provides students with opportunities for publication via the Student Notebook column in the APS Observer, and the online Undergraduate Update. We also hold three research competitions for students: the Student Grant Competition, the Student Research Award, and the RISE Research Award. In addition, our Mentorship Program connects undergraduates who aspire to enter careers in psychology with graduate student mentors in a similar focus area. The APSSC’s Online Funding Database provides information about prospective grants and other funding sources for students and post-docs. Finally, our Researching Injustice and Social Equality (RISE) group disseminates resources and fosters discussion amongst student researchers studying underrepresented populations.

Active and open communication with our members is important to us, and we maintain an active Campus Representative program and updated Facebook page to help students stay connected with the APSSC. On behalf of the APSSC Executive Board, thank you for supporting APSSC and psychological science.

Sincerely,

Jessica T. Wong
