Welcome to the APSSC

Dear Students,
Welcome to the Association for Psychological Science Student Caucus (APSSC) website! We are an international student organization devoted to the promotion and advancement of psychological science. Throughout the year, students can get involved in various programs and opportunities. These resources are intended to assist students with their research and professional development.
Campus Representative Program
Get involved with the APSSC by becoming a campus representative at your school. This program allows students to network with others and to inform them of the opportunities available in psychological science. Campus representatives can be undergraduate or graduate students.
Student Publications
We encourage students to write a column for the Student Notebook in the APS Observer or to submit an article for our online publication called the Undergraduate Update. These topics can range from research to other professional/academic subjects.
Research Competitions
To promote and acknowledge excellent and innovative psychological research, we offer students the opportunity to submit their work to one of our three research competitions: the Student Grant Competition, the Student Research Award, or the Researching Injustice and Social Equality (RISE) Research Award. Winners will receive a monetary award and will have the opportunity to present their research at the 25th Annual APS Convention.
Funding Opportunities
Students can also find grants and fellowships through our APSSC Online Funding Database. These funding opportunities are made available for undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students in different areas of psychology.
Other Programs
Undergraduate and graduate students can get involved with our Mentorship Program. This program is designed to connect undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing graduate school with graduate mentors who can share their own experience with them. In addition, we encourage students to be a reviewer for our research competitions to gain peer-reviewing experience.
Please find us on our Facebook page to receive updated information about our events. On behalf of the APSSC Executive Board, we thank you for your support and wish you success throughout the 2012-2013 academic year!
Sincerely,
Kris Gunawan
President, APS Student Caucus
