Virtual Event: Careers in Data Science
IE University will host a virtual event, "Why Doctoral Students Make Great Data Scientists," at 6:30 pm GMT (12:30 pm EST) on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020. The talk, hosted by Inna Saboshchuk, a data scientist with a background in basic and applied social psychology, will provide an overview of some of the career options that exist for psychological scientists outside of academia, as well as an opportunity for students to ask any questions they may have on the topic. Call for Abstracts: Behavior, Energy, and Climate Change 2020 Conference
The Behavior, Energy, and Climate Change (BECC) 2020 Conference is accepting abstracts for posters, individual presentations, and panels through April 1, 2020. BECC, to be held December 6-9 in Washington, DC, presents behavioral research on how to encourage behavior change for energy and carbon savings, how to evaluate these programs, how to understand why individuals and groups change, and how to make these transitions in fair and equitable ways. Student fellowships are available for the conference through the Stanford University. The conference is co-convened by Berkeley Energy and Climate Institute and Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.

Multinomial Processing Tree Modeling Workshop
A Multinomial Processing Tree (MPT) Modeling preconference workshop will run March 21 to March 22, 2020 at the 62nd Conference of Experimental Psychologists in Jena, Germany. The two-day workshop will provide a systematic and application-oriented overview of the basics and the most recent developments in MPT modeling. Estes Fund, a fund jointly overseen by APS and the Psychonomic Society to support summer schools and workshops offering training in mathematical and computational modeling.
