Call for Associate Editors
Advances in Psychological Science Open (APSO), a new open access journal in the field of psychology, is seeking to appoint additional Associate Editors to join its editorial team. Rachael Jack, the inaugural Editor-in-Chief, began her term in February 2025 and is dedicated to expanding the journal’s editorial board to include new voices.
Associate Editors will ideally have at least 3 years of editorial experience, a record of published work in psychological science, and substantial experience with peer reviewing for high-quality journals. Given the strong interdisciplinary focus of the journal, we are particularly keen to recruit those with interdisciplinary experience.
In this role, Associate Editors will supervise peer reviews, make publication recommendations, and contribute to the journal’s evolving editorial strategy. The role also requires soliciting submissions from across the globe. Appointments are typically for four years, with the possibility of an extension.
If you are interested in joining APSO as an Associate Editor, please email your CV and a cover letter to [email protected]. Please outline your expertise, any current editorial roles, and why you are interested in contributing to the journal’s mission. Include “Application to join APSO’s Associate Editor team” in the subject line. We look forward to your application.
