Q: What is Instats?

A: Instats is an innovative platform built by and for academics and research professionals, offering a range of educational content, tools, and resources tailored for the psychological research community. From free introductory tutorials to in-depth courses, Instats is designed to support community building, academic freedom, and professional development in the ever-evolving area of psychological science research.

Q: How do I sign up to get the APS member 30% discount?

A: There are four ways to make sure you receive the 30% discount for APS members when you purchase access to content on the Instats platform:

1. If you’re an APS member, you may have received an email with a special link that will automatically create your free Instats account and associate you with APS.
2. If you’re an APS member, you can click on the button above to create your free Instats account and be automatically associated with APS.
3. If you’re an existing Instats user, go to your Instats account dashboard. Under “Professional Association Memberships,” click on the “+Add Memberships” button and select Association for Psychological Science from the drop-down list. Once added to the list, click the “Verify Membership” button. If you’re using an email address that’s in your APS profile and your membership is current, you’re all set. If your email address is different or your membership has expired, you’ll get a notification from Instats to that effect.
4. Go to Instats.org and click on the Join for Free button. On the sign-up page under “Professional Association Memberships” select Association for Psychological Science from the drop-down list. If you’re using an email address that’s in your APS profile and your membership is current, you’re all set. If your email address is different or your membership has expired, you’ll get a notification from Instats to that effect.

Q: Does APS offer any content on Instats?

A: Not yet, but we will! APS plans to offer content on the platform in the future, and some APS content will be free to APS members.
