When I was in graduate school, my advisor told me that I could probably never be a professor because back then women weren’t professors. APS’s prestigious awards are important because they can recognize scientists who break the mold and make a difference in the field. If you know someone like that, I hope you will nominate them for one of APS’s awards.

The APS James McKeen Cattell Fellow Award recognizes APS members for a lifetime of outstanding contributions to the area of applied psychological research. Recipients must be APS members whose research addresses a critical problem in society at large.
