Gender Differences in Verbal References and Referrals for Job Placement

Previous research has found differences in the way men and women are perceived in hiring scenarios. In this study, we examined how women and men are described in verbal recommendations people give about them. We found that there are differences in the words chosen to describe male vs. female candidates.
