Abstract
Consistent with the overconfidence phenomenon, participants overestimated the likelihood of a positive COVID test 4 days after exposure, underestimated at day 8, and were overconfident in both. Connections between personality characteristics and self-reported personal protective behaviors were investigated, but Conscientiousness and Agreeableness were not related to protective behaviors as expected.
