Abstract
The present study investigates gender differences in a cluster of cognitive symptoms associated with imminent suicide risk, including rumination, cognitive rigidity, ruminative flooding, and failed thought suppression. Results show that cisgender women reported higher severity of loss of total cognitive control and across all symptoms compared to cisgender men.
