Abstract
Later adopted children showed greater impairment on a set-shifting task relative to their early adopted peers. Behavioral performance was correlated with several brain regions, but volumes did not significantly differ between groups. This suggests that other aspects of brain development may be more sensitive to timing the of adoption.
