Abstract

Fixed effect regression models were used to examine how parent, peer, and community factors contribute to callous-unemotional traits (e.g., deficient guilt/remorse) during adolescence (15-21). Low quality parent and peer relationships were associated with elevated callous-unemotional traits. Tests of multi-factor interactions revealed nuanced age-varying associations between environmental factors and callous-unemotional traits.
