Abstract

The present study examined the effect of mindfulness (vs. control) induction and temporality (encoding vs. retrieval) on people’s art-making and art-viewing experience. Results were specific to art-making, where people in the mindfulness (vs. control) condition created photographs that were judged as more creative, complex, abstract, and positive.
