Abstract

Social rejection is known to reduce self-regulation. In this experiment, social exclusion via Cyberball game predicted faster responding on a Stroop like-task. We found no evidence that the attentional self-regulation of those with restrained eating tendencies were impaired by the unhealthy food words.
