Abstract

Using a sample of 2,753 Latinx adolescents, we found bullying victimization is associated with higher distress. Additionally, social-emotional competence and a positive school climate buffer the bullying victimization-distress association. These findings highlight the importance of SEL and school climate in bullying prevention and intervention programs for Latinx students.
