Abstract
Substance use has increased during COVID-19, possibly related to changes in use motives. Our study investigates whether coping has replaced social and enhancement motives as the most common motive for substance use among young adults during COVID-19, and whether this shift reverses with the decrease in social distancing following vaccination.
