How Does the Parental Autonomy Support Protect Against Youth Cyber Violence? - Autonomy Support as a Moderator in the Relations Among Perseverance of Effort, Smartphone Overdependence and Cyber Violence

This study examined relationship among perseverance of effort (POE), smartphone overdependence (SO), and cyber violence (CV), moderated by autonomy support (AS). Results indicated that POE was negatively associated with SO, which positively predicted CV. Strong AS weakened relationship between POE and SO. Discussions emphasized protective function of POE and AS.
