Evaluating Network Estimation Performance with Ordinal Data

We conducted a simulation study to examine how three network estimation methods perform with ordinal data. Differences between methods depended on the number of categories. Performance of all methods worsened when the underlying distribution was non-normal or thresholds were asymmetric. The recommended method depends on which outcomes are most important.
