All Human Groups Are Human, but Some Groups Are More Human Than Others.

In two studies (N=16,518), we examined the association between racial/ethnic groups and the attributes “Human” and “Animal”. We found robust and consistent evidence that White Americans associate their own group with human more than other groups. In contrast, non-White Americans more equally associate their own group and White with human.
