Spatial Location and Event Segmentation: Enhancing Reactive Cognitive Control Use

Using a modified AX-Continuous Performance Test, the current experiment tested whether event segmentation could enhance older adults’ reactive control bias. Error Rates showed that placing a perceptual event boundary, by means of a spatial shift, between each cue and forthcoming probe enhanced participants’ reliance on reactive cognitive control strategies.
