Abstract
Stress during pregnancy can have detrimental effects on maternal health and fetal development. Maternal attachment, both pre-and postnatal, may reduce the effects of maternal stress and early life stress on infants. Research characterizing the extent to which COVID-19 has re-characterized prenatal stress and the value of protective factors is needed.
