Emotional Experiences with True Crime: Taking the Good with the Bad

Abstract
The emotions experienced before, during, and after consuming true crime media may differ in fans and nonfans. Findings reveal that fans experience greater positive emotions and empathy surrounding true crime consumption compared to nonfans and may regulate negative emotions more effectively, resolving them following TC consumption.
