Do Lapses in Lesson Coherence Cause Students’ Minds to Wander?

Abstract
College students watch a 3-part lesson on the immune system. Part two of the lesson is manipulated to be high- or low-coherence. We measure whether mind wandering differs in part 2, whether there is a cascading effect into part 3, and whether there is an effect on learning.
