Openness and Risk-Taking: An Examination of Environmental Scanners and Their Sharing

Abstract
This research considers openness, risk taking, internal and external scanning, and being a scanning resource. Results suggest that openness is indeed positively related to both internal and external scanning. We found no relationship between scanning behaviors and being viewed by others as a resource for information about the external environment.
