Diversity and Performance in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: A Case for Selection Research

Venture capital decision-making relies on methods long found to be subjective and poorly predictive of entrepreneurial performance. Our research borrows from performance theory and selection research to develop a model and assessment that objectifies human capital aspects of the investment decision-making, yielding a more diverse, just, and prosperous entrepreneurial ecosystem.
