Abstract

Undergraduate volunteers decided whether they would “share” a set of “news headlines” online, answered questionnaires, and made true/false veracity judgements of the headlines. Sharing of the true headlines were predicted by lax criterion, however, sharing of the false headlines were predicted by lower sensitivity in the veracity judgments.
