Abstract

This study explored the impact of learning modality (in-person or online) on social support and academic adjustment in freshman college students. The results indicate a positive correlation between social support and academic adjustment (p<.01), and that in-person students (M=5.72, SD=.91) experienced more support than online learners (M=4.98, SD=1.64), t(89)=2.41, p=.012.
