Abstract
Encouraging thoughts about a future smoke-free self via episodic future thinking (EFT) may facilitate changes in people’s motivation to smoke. This study will examine the effect of EFT (vs. episodic recent thinking) on current smokers’ motivation to quit smoking using Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA).
