From the Couch to Zoom: Attitudes Are Associated with the Perceived Effectiveness of Teletherapy

Abstract
A survey for psychology Training Clinic directors discovered that transitioning to a virtual environment during the coronavirus pandemic disrupted supervision practices. Despite increasing mental health concerns, referrals increased in only 23% of clinics. Hopefulness, perceived difficulty of implementing teletherapy, and positive attitudes towards teletherapy significantly impacted teletherapy’s perceived effectiveness.
