Abstract

This study examines the discrepancy in parent-adolescent perceived indulgent parenting and its association with parents’ well-being. With 122 parent-adolescent dyads, results from polynomial regression revealed better psychological well-being when adolescents and parents agreed on low indulgence. Parents reported more psychological problems with adolescent-perceived low indulgence and parent-reported high indulgence.
