Abstract
U.S. Army mortuary affairs (MA) Soldiers handle remains of the dead in the combat theater, which increases risk for trauma-related disorders. Questionnaires were collected from N=1517 MA Soldiers. We report pre- and post-deployment symptoms and cases of depression. Findings increase our understanding of the consequences of work with the dead.
