Abstract
The study explores how types of emotion regulation (ER) (interpersonal and intrapersonal) impact affect in negative scenarios and anxiety’s role. Results suggest IER promotes positive affect more than IAR, and those with clinical anxiety differ in ER experiences for negative affect compared to non-clinical individuals when interacting with trustworthy partners.
