Autism Awareness Interacts with Empathic Concern in Reducing Stigma of Autism

This study explored the effect of interaction between empathic concern and autism awareness on stigma towards autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The findings underscored the importance of autism awareness when empathic concern was not sufficient, suggesting the utility of targeting autism awareness to enhance the effectiveness of stigma reduction interventions.
