Memory Is Associated with Anhedonia in Schizophrenia-Spectrum Disorders: A Meta-Analysis

Individuals with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders experience preserved in-the-moment pleasure but reduced anticipatory pleasure; a phenomenon known as the “anhedonia paradox.” This temporal component of anhedonia may be related to memory deficits. In this study, we meta-analyze the association between memory performance and anhedonia in a SSD and a healthy control sample.
