Effects of Achievement Orientation and an Achievement Event on Children's Mood and Drawings

This study investigated the main and interactive effects of an achievement event (playing Connect4) and achievement orientation on self-reports and drawings of mood in youth. Higher levels of achievement orientation were associated with increased pride and drawings moving farther to the right after winning compared to losing.
