Abstract
Associations among child adversity and adult ADHD and post-traumatic stress were investigated in a mental health outpatient sample. Post-traumatic stress mediated the relation between child adversity and adult hyperactivity. Furthermore, hyperactivity mediated the relation between child adversity and adult post-traumatic stress. Each domain appears to increase vulnerability for the other.
