Getting Things Off Your Mind: Writing a to-Do List Did Not Improve Attention Scope or Control
- Melany Williams

Abstract
Participants were randomly assigned to write a to-do list or copy text for 5 minutes. Attention scope and control performance was measured at baseline and reassessed immediately after the writing procedure. Writing did not affect the scope or control of attention, but methodological limitations make this outcome difficult to interpret.
