Perceived Capitalization Support Moderates the Association of Perceived Parental Relationship Approval with Relationship Commitment in Intercultural Relationships

What factors predict relationship commitment in intercultural couples? We examined the role of capitalization support and found that it moderates the association of parental relationship approval with relationship commitment in intercultural couples relative to intracultural couples. These findings suggest that partner capitalization support may buffer intercultural couples from parent disapproval.
