Effects of Race and Mind State on Lineup Procedures

We assessed the impact of state of mind (stress, neutral and mindfulness) and race (White or Asian perpetrator) on lineup accuracy. We successfully manipulated mind state, but we found no significant results for our primary analyses, which we discuss in relation to design, racial biases, recognition theory, and applied implications.
