Touching the Grief: Does Affectionate Touch Protect Intimacy in Bereaved Parents?

Abstract
We aim to compare the effects of affectionate touch on daily intimacy in bereaved versus non-bereaved couples using a seven-day diary study. We expect to observe lower levels of affectionate touch in bereaved couples than in non-bereaved couples but similar positive effects on daily intimacy in both groups.
