Abstract
This study investigated psychological stress and habitual behavioral control over bulimic behavior as mechanisms contributing to the persistence of symptoms in bulimia nervosa (BN) spectrum disorders. Findings suggest that therapeutic interventions that disrupt cue-dependent habitual control over bulimic behavior and reduce stress may be useful to treat BN.
