Abstract
This longitudinal study examined minority stress (e.g., experiences of bullying, violence based on sexual orientation) and disparities in sleep quality between sexual minority and heterosexual youth (ages 14-23). Results showed that sexual minority youth experienced poorer sleep quality than heterosexuals. Similarly, minority stress increased adolescents’ risk of poor sleep quality.
