Abstract

We proposes a new perspective to understand detrimental consequences of low self-concept clarity. Specifically, we found low self-concept clarity hinders self-regulation in broad domains. Failure to self-regulate maybe one important reason underlying these phenomena. Our findings highlight the importance to foster self-concept clarity in coping with personal and social problems.
