Parental Bonding and Rule Breaking: The Correlation between Parental Bonding and Rule Adherence in Young Adults

Abstract
A significant correlation was found between the strength of parental bonding and the level of rule adherence (r = .41, p = .00) in young adults (ages 18-24), indicating that individuals who have a strong bond with their parents are more likely to follow both parental and institutional rules.
