Abstract

This qualitative research examines the sibling relationships of Chinese-American college students through analyzing the unique role of Chinese culture. Three distinct levels of emergent themes were examined. The findings revealed that Chinese cultural and familial values influence sibling relationships through differentiated parental obligations and cultural upbringings.
